Lisa Farjam
Founding Editor

Lisa Farjam founded Bidoun in 2003 and was editor-in-chief until 2011. She lives in upstate New York.

Tiffany Malakooti
Special Projects

Tiffany Malakooti joined Bidoun in 2008 and works primarily on archival and film projects. She has collaborated on programs with the Beirut Art Center, the Guggenheim Museum, the Serpentine Gallery, and UbuWeb, amongst others. She also works as a graphic designer.

Babak Radboy
Creative Director

Babak Radboy is an artist working exclusively in the commercial idiom of art direction. He is the founder of the meta-brand Shanzhai Biennial, creative director for the unisex fashion line TELFAR and CCO of the visual knowledge project Mine.nyc. His clients include Bjarne Melgaard, Kanye West, and Hugo Boss. His work has been shown internationally, including at MoMA PS1 and The New Museum, New York and The Serpentine Gallery, London. He has been the creative director of Bidoun since 2007.

Anna Della Subin

Anna Della Subin is a writer and independent scholar born in New York. Her essays have appeared in the New York Review of Books, Harper’s, the New York Times, the London Review of Books, and Triple Canopy, which brought out her treatise Not Dead But Sleeping in paperback in 2017. Her book Accidental Gods: On Men Unwittingly Turned Divine is forthcoming from Metropolitan/Henry Holt and Granta. She was first published in Bidoun.

Michael C Vazquez

Michael C Vazquez is a writer and editor. Before Bidoun he was the editor of Transition: An International Review, and remains a nonresident fellow at the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute for African and African American Research at Harvard.


Sophia Al-Maria

In the past few years Sophia has been screenwriting for a diverse array of projects for film and television adapting everything from Anais Nin to the life of Madame Tussaud. Sophia’s first book, The Girl Who Fell to Earth, (2012 Harper Collins, USA) has been assigned to high schools and universities around the world and has been translated into Arabic. Her video work has been shown widely in biennales, film festivals and museums. She saw her work in print for the first time in Bidoun.

Shumon Basar

Shumon Basar is a writer. He is co-author of The Age of Earthquakes: A Guide to the Extreme Present, with Douglas Coupland and Hans Ulrich Obrist; and co-editor, along with Antonia Carver and Markus Miessen, of the Bidoun published With/Without. He has been Editor-at-Large at Tank magazine for over a decade; runs the Format program at the AA School, London; is Commissioner/Director at the Global Art Forum, Dubai; and is a founding member of the ‘Thought Council,’ at the Fondazione Prada, Milan.

Sohrab Mohebbi

Sohrab Mohebbi is a writer and curator currently based in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the curator of the 58th Carnegie International and curator-at-large at Sculpture Center, NY. He is also a founding member of 127 band, Tehran.

Aram Moshayedi

Aram Moshayedi is a writer and curator at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles. He was formerly associate curator at REDCAT, the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (2010–13), where he organized exhibitions and oversaw the production of new works by The Otolith Group, Slavs and Tatars, Jordan Wolfson, Tony Cokes, Jay Chung & Q Takeki Maeda, Ming Wong, Geoffrey Farmer, and Erlea Maneros Zabala; and prior to that was a curator at LAXART (2005–10). Moshayedi’s writings on art have been published in numerous exhibition catalogs and such publications as Artforum, Art in America, Frieze, Metropolis M, X-TRA Contemporary Art Quarterly and Bidoun, for which he has been a contributing editor since 2010.

Alexander Provan

Alexander Provan is the editor of Triple Canopy and a contributing editor of Bidoun. He was a fellow at the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at the New School for 2013–15.

Sukhdev Sandhu

Sukhdev Sandhu directs the Colloquium for Unpopular Culture at New York University and runs the Texte und Töne publishing imprint.

Elizabeth Wiet

Elizabeth Wiet is a curator, writer, and editor based in New York. She is currently Director of Exhibitions and Fellowship at A.I.R. Gallery and Assistant Editor at Topical Cream.

Kaelen Wilson-Goldie
Contributing Editor

Kaelen Wilson-Goldie is a contributing editor of Bidoun, writes regularly for Artforum, and runs a column in Frieze. She has written for newspapers, magazines, and journals, including Afterall, Camera Austria, and Parkett, and has contributed essays to numerous anthologies, monographs, and catalogues, covering subjects such as Sufism and Surrealism, feminism and formalism, experimental music, video production, and public space in postwar Lebanon, as well as the work of artists such as Etel Adnan, Eric Baudelaire, Saloua Raouda Choucair, Iman Issa, Rabih Mroue, Wael Shawky, and Akram Zaatari. She lives and works in Beirut, where she teaches in the department of fine arts and art history at the American University of Beirut.
